It’s seems I’ve been MIA lately and you would think I haven’t don’t many projects from my lack of blog posts, but it’s quite the opposite. I’ve been so busy lately with some building projects and taking care of a (now 6 month old!) that I haven’t had any time to slow down and document it all here. I promise it’s coming. All my project posts are saved as drafts right now and you won’t miss them!
So before Christmas is over, I wanted to share the pictures of my home this year. It’s not too different from my home tour last year, but a few minor changes. Notably, I have 2 trees this year. Our main tree in the family room downstairs, and now one in our bedroom upstairs. You see, most of my Christmas decor is whimsical red & green. But I did have a few silver/gold/champagne items that I love, but didn’t necessarily fit in with the rest of my theme. So I decided this year they would have a new home upstairs with a new tree done in exactly those colors. You’ll see below.
I’ll start you at the beginning, from our entry, making your way into the bar and dining areas. Then into the kitchen, nook, and family room, all of which are downstairs. I hope you enjoy the tour and a peek into our home for the holidays! (All sources at end of post)
I found a new home for this jingle bell wreath above in our front foyer this year. I just love how perfectly it fits here, because I’ve never had anything that worked in our foyer before. This wreath is my very first Christmas decor item that I’ve had since my early college days. I honestly couldn’t tell you where I bought it or even IF I bought it. I might have been a gift. But I just love that it’s the first thing you see when you come in our home. Reminds me how far we’ve come!
I added some snow and ornaments to my little table this year and I just love it.
This reindeer guy is also pretty significant to me, as it was the very first item in the Pier 1 collection I acquired. This collection now fills my entire home during the holidays but this piece will always be my first!
The only difference in my main dining table this year is that I separated the two big arrangements into separate vases. Last year I had the white roses and red berries all inside the ornament vase, but this year I gave them each their own space.
This is my kitchen island. Each year I switch up what goes on it.
These are the cutest brownie Christmas tree desserts I made last weekend at our annual Friendsmas party. Aren’t they adorable??
We have new stockings this year, since 2 wouldn’t cut it anymore 😉 The 2 green ones are for the boys and the 2 red ones are for me and the pup 🙂 These are from Target.
If you follow me on Instagram, you saw me mention that this tree skirt is my favorite item. My mom bought it for us last year and I just love how perfect it is!
Another new thing I did this year was switch out the crystal dangles on the chandelier for some small, red, ornament balls. I don’t know what made me do this, but I love how it turned out!
You’ll notice my tree this year is artificial. The first time in the 10 years my husband and I have been together that we’ve had an artificial tree. Let’s just say there are some major disagreements when it comes to this topic! The compromise? We still have a real tree upstairs 😉
And now I’ll take you upstairs into our bedroom. This is the view walking in our door.
These crystal teardrop ornaments were purchased many years ago on clearance at Target with the intentions of using them for our wedding centerpieces. For whatever reason (insert eye roll emoji) I never did and was left with hundreds of them. Believe it or not I’ve used them on several projects including my kitchen pendant shades and my DIY dining room chandelier. I always wanted to use them as actual tree ornaments and this year it finally happened!
My favorite Christmas addition this year:
Thanks for taking a peek inside our home.
Merry Christmas
Love,

75% of the Red & Green sparkly decor items (including all tree decor) you see are from Pier 1 accumulated over the last 5 or so years. Online they currently have the “Peppermint Party Collection” which is the evolved collection from which I’ve been buying. The link to that collection is here.

Dining Room Table Centerpiece is all from Pier 1, Target, and the dollar store! Unfortunately most of it is no longer sold, except for the chargers above and the red berries are still at Pier 1 linked here.
