DIY White Oak Kitchen Island With Inset Cabinetry

Turning a kitchen island crisis into a stylish renovation!

It all started with a leak in my kitchen island. I called in the experts to make sure everything dried out and structurally sound and that’s when the lightbulb moment hit me – why not turn this problem into an opportunity for a DIY kitchen island remodel.

After confirming everything was dried, It turns out all my cabinets needed replacing along with  some serious TLC.  But instead of getting down about it, I saw it as a blank canvas ready for a makeover! With the diagnosis in hand, I decided to level up my kitchen game by adding some custom cabinets to the island. Who doesn’t need more storage, right? Plus, it was a way to make this island truly one-of-a-kind. I carefully selected baseboards that complemented the island’s aesthetic, while the hardware – aged brass – added a touch of elegance that truly elevated the space.
