Happy Hump Day friends, and thanks for stopping by. You may remember my Foyer Makeover post where I had this monogram “D” hanging near my front door. It was something I bought on clearance at Hobby Lobby quite a while ago and thought it was fitting for our forger, welcoming our guests to the “D”ean house.
But after a while I decided I would really love a mirror in our foyer to open up the small space. You probably know by now that I’m obsessed with mirrors and think you can never have too many! I absolutely love our foyer now, and couldn’t be more happy with the new mirror. But I didn’t want the “old decor” to go to waste. So I’ve found a new home for both the “D” monogram AND the empty gold frame that was around it, which I will be sharing sometime soon.
I decided the D was going to find it’s new home on our front door. We’ve never had anything hang on our front door and I thought this would be perfect, since I’ve never really been a wreath girl.
For this quick makeover, all that was needed was a good ol’ can of spray paint that can be found at both Lowe’s and Home Depot. I chose a color that matched the trim of our home as close as possible. I used the advanced “eye-balling” method of “I think this is pretty close.”
Gave it 2 coats and that’s it! I already had a hook on the door similar to this one that I was able to hang it on.
What do you think? Comment and let me know your thoughts, I love hearing from you all!
