How I Created My Dream Kitchen with Cabinet Joint

Redoing my kitchen was one of the biggest projects I’ve taken on, and from the moment I first started planning, I knew I wanted inset cabinets. I’ve always loved the timeless, high-end look they bring to a space, so finding the right company was a huge priority for me. After researching different options, I decided to work with Cabinet Joint because they’re known for offering premium cabinetry with a custom feel, while still making the process accessible and straightforward for homeowners.

One of the first things that stood out to me was how many options they offer. Cabinet Joint has a wide variety of cabinet styles, colors, finishes, and door profiles, which made it easy to create a kitchen that felt personal to my home and style. Whether you want something classic, modern, or more custom-looking, they have so many beautiful choices. My first step was choosing a door style and cabinet color, which was honestly such a fun part of the process.

Once I made those initial selections, the process officially began with Josh, my Cabinet Coach. Instead of simply ordering cabinets online and hoping for the best, I had someone guiding me through every stage. On our first call, we went over all of my measurements and reviewed the budget quote sheet so we were completely on the same page from the start. I really appreciated how organized and transparent everything was it made what could have felt overwhelming much easier.

After that, Cabinet Joint sent over the first round of design packets. This was one of the most exciting steps because it included renderings of my future kitchen and showed exactly how everything would look once completed. Seeing the layout come to life made it so much easier to visualize the final result. From there, I was able to request edits, confirm measurements, and fine-tune details before placing the final order. Josh was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process and helped with measurements, design decisions, and any questions that came up along the way. Having that level of support made such a difference.

Once my order was finalized, the cabinets arrived in about 4–6 weeks. Because the cabinets are built to order, I appreciated knowing the estimated timeline in advance so I could plan the renovation process accordingly. Everything came boxed and packaged well, and it was fairly easy to identify which pieces went where once we unpacked everything.

From there, I began the building process. I’ll be honest, this was definitely the hardest part of the project, but also the most rewarding. I built all of the cabinets myself and installed them on my own, which made the finished result even more meaningful. Seeing everything come together was such an amazing feeling.

I’m so happy with how it turned out it’s even better than I could have imagined, and it truly feels like my dream space. The quality, the design, and the overall experience from start to finish made it so worth it. If you’re planning a kitchen renovation and want cabinetry with a custom, high-end look plus great support throughout the process, I would absolutely recommend checking out Cabinet Joint.
