It’s been a while since I’ve updated on the house, so I wanted to catch you up! I think the last time I posted any progress, we were right about here:
I’m happy to say that SO MUCH has been done since then. We are getting CABINETS AND TILE this week and next week. Oh.my.goodness. I can’t contain my excitement. It’s when the really pretty things start to happen. And all the choices I fretted over for months start to come alive!
But for right now, here’s what’s been going on:
They poured the slab, blocked the exterior walls, and got the roof on when I blinked my eyes.
And then they framed everything in about a week! This shot is standing on the front porch looking through the front doors into the foyer and dining room on the left.
This shot is in the grand room looking at the breakfast nook wall, which will soon be a wall of cabinets. On either side you have a hallway to bedrooms.
Then we got the front doors, windows, and some of the exterior trim framing.
My dad got some super cool shots with his drone of our lot and the construction thus far. It gives a good perspective of how we’re situated on the corner like that.
How awesome is our backyard?? I seriously can’t wait to make memories out here. I have dreams one day of extending the lanai, laying a paver path to the trees with a fire pit surrounded by comfy chairs. Ahhh, maybe one day.
And this is not the greatest picture, but it’s got to be one of my favorite views in the house! I just can’t wait to be sitting in our family room looking out these sliders enjoying the view!
And as of my last visit, this is where we are now! Drywall, trim, and interior doors guys! Woo!
This is the dining room to the left of the front foyer.
Here’s the “den/guest room/playroom/idk what” off to the right of the front foyer. I actually didn’t realize the doors were going to be glass, so now I’m a little stumped. I thought we would be able to hide this room, haha!
Here I’m standing in the grand room looking back at the kitchen. The door in the corner is the pantry, and the plumbing in the floor is where the island will be. Hood and cooktop are to the left of the pantry door.
Here I am standing in the foyer with the dining room on the left (and entry to the kitchen) and extended foyer and grand room straight ahead.
This is the double door entry to the master area. You can get a glimpse of the interior door style I chose. I absolutely swoon over them. And they’re all 8 feet tall!
Here we are with the stucco completed on the exterior. I hear they are going to be painting in the next week or so as well. yay! We are still on track for completion and closing at the end of August. It’s getting close! Let the packing begin!
That’s all for now…I hope to be back in a week or 2 with an update on tile and cabinets!
